It was exquisite, standing there alone in the midst of the crystal bowl. It was the last. In its shiny silver wrapping, it beckoned, teasingly.
Gently and lovingly, a hand lifted the tiny package out of the bowl. Slowly, it pulled the paper insert loose; leaving a small rip in the foil that surrounded the tear shaped treasure within. Expectantly, a pair of soft hands peeled off the wrappings from the chocolate treat.
Delightedly, she smiled, running her finger down the smooth surface of the Hershey’s Kiss. Her hand lifted it to ruby lips, moist with want. The tip of her tongue touched it gently before pearly white teeth sunk into its chocolatey depths. She rolled it around in her mouth savoring it’s wonderful taste, before finally swallowing with delight.
It was her last kiss.
